Who’s new to Art Basel events this year

Curators from the traditional and digital art world will participate at Art Basel in December with their own installations. Ceyise Studios by Stacey Denise is due to showcase pieces for events taking place at the Miami-based festival. Galleries, Magazines, Films, and more hosting official 2022 Basel events are posted on the official Art Basel site.

What is Ceyise Studio

Ceyise Studios by Stacey Denise introduces brain-stimulating colors and designs imagined for luxury estates, offices, hotels, and galleries alike. The studio, under the creative direction of Stacey Denise, aims to inspire higher self-worth and awaken viewers’ inner essence through fine art with exceptional color design. The Houston-based artist’s work can currently be found and commissioned exclusively online.

Stacey Denise was a full-time dedicated surgeon and an advocate for the STEM programs to be available to underrepresented minority youth. Now retired, she dedicates her time to all of her passions. Stacey states, “I find science and medicine exciting.  It is important to continue to investigate these areas with young people with fresh ideas innovating the fields,”

As a believer in the overall act of intellectual exploration, the surgeon turned artist notes a time when her emotional expression was not possible. Identifying as a “recovering Alexithymic” according to the Chief Creative Officer’s biography, art was used as the outlet to bring forth her emotions in a healthy manner. “I believe in intellectual and creative expressivity because it serves to soothe my soul.”  Ceyise Studios Director states.

 Art Basel History

According to Art Basel’s website, the exhibition started nearly 50 years ago. The original show gathered more than 16,000 visitors to witness 90 galleries and 30 publishers from 10 countries. In the ’90s the showcase accepted the submission of film and created the Art Film Sector which debuted at the Stadtkino Basel.

Miami Beach Art Basel was not curated until the late 2000s. The first exhibition featured 160 galleries from 23 countries and attracted 30,000 visitors. This is also when the inception of Art Basel Conversations occurred. In 2010 Art Basel expanded into Hong Kong and started a Kickstarter campaign to support non-profit visual art campaigns. The 2010s is also when corporate partnerships occurred. Art Basel’s first being BMW in Hong Kong, China.

So far in this decade we are witnessing the expansion of the art industry as a whole. Since the creation of non-fungible tokens artists have gotten creative. Artists are pre-commissioning their work via NFTs. Individual Investors can put money toward a project to make it come to life. Some have allowed the public to invest in their work before the physical reveal at art exhibitions globally. This allows some artists to fund their exhibition appearances.

Likely Events to take place

Art Basel will take over the entire Miami community, even neighboring cities. Some livelier events noted to take place according to a source include the Maxim Magazine event, A Tony Visions curated Fashion Show event, and an SFW Runway exhibition to name a few. Those looking for a great mix of luxury and fun can find independent events taking place during Art Basel.

How to Prepare for Art Basel

Events will be taking place from December 1st-3rd. Comfortable clothes and shoes are not required but highly suggested. If attending the official convention there are strict guidelines involving bag/purse sizes (which prohibits backpacks), restrictions on outside food, and photography restrictions. The visitor guideline is available for review.

Art Basel is a chance to explore the culture of the arts while experiencing new artists. Artists are known to attend this event and can be a rare moment between artists and buyers.
