Despite previous failures, she accredits those moments as motivators that led her to working on improving herself in this journey. “Failures made me stronger. Instead of giving up I starve to be in the position I deserve the most.” Moisa states. Currently the model is ready to be the winner of this season and work for the top names in the industry such as: Dolce & Gabbana, Jean Paul Gaultier, Louboutin, Balmain, and many others.

The model admits that becoming a model takes an investment, one that she was not so fortunate to have. “Since very little I wanted to be a part of the art industry, specifically modeling fashion designs. Unfortunately my parents couldn’t afford to invest in my artistic career.” five years ago Mihailina  moved to Belgium to give herself a chance at breaking into the industry.

She hopes her presence at this contest will inspire those in Moldova, Portugal, and other areas of the world to make no excuses to achieve your life’s dream. She shares, “In my life I had a person that once told me ‘Each ‘no’ you receive it’s a step closer to a ‘yes’’ and this phrase changed my mindset and the way I perceive failures.”

Though the model is striving to work for brands such as Victoria’s Secret, she knows her heart is always geared towards collaborating with designers directly. Moisa identifies with the uniqueness of the art and philosophy behind designers. Moisa states, “The “no rules” rule most designers live by allows me to make people feel empowered when I’m on the runway.

This rule also carries over to her photo portfolio. Going from high fashion looks to realistic modeling, one of her favorite photos she has taken is one of non-glamour . Explaining, “I see a scary infinity of feeling in the eyes every time I’m looking at this picture. The pose of the hand is almost as if I reached the answer and it gets so poetic.”

The Brussels event for Top Model Europe is currently sold out, but you can keep up with Mihailina and the other contestants by visiting the production company’s page on Instagram or Facebook.
